Veteran Veterinarian
2021 was the third year that Dr. Joyce supported BraveHearts' 20-mile horseback ride through Chicago, IL. The ride’s purpose is to raise awareness about and inspire hope for the 20 veterans that commit suicide every day. One mile is ridden for every veteran lost.

Adding another vet to our practice means TEVA got a new truck rigged with all the hi-tech gadgets our vets need--such as our 4th x-ray system, another shockwave, ultrasound, and more--allowing us to be prepared for almost every medical scenario with the most technologically advanced equipment available.

News by the numbers in the last year:
- Conducted 3,210 farms calls and 4,051 exams.
- Increased acupuncture appointments by 70%.
- Conducted 113% more EL2 Lameness Locator baseline evaluations.
- Passed 100 naso-gastric stomach tubes, stitched 53 lacerations, cleaned 66 sheaths, and performed 92 rectal exams.
- Injected 392 joints, processed 710 Coggins, and performed 61 on-farm gastroscopies.
- Waived 246 emergency fees amounting to $43,050 saved by clients.
- Also waived 270 same day urgent fees for another $20,250 saved by clients.
- Gave more than $48,000 in discounts and returned $2,800 in referral cash to clients.
- Saved about 350 horses from death of colic, choke, or severe infection. (Just about one a day!)
